Highlights included: WR Robbie Jones helps to make new coach Alvey's first game memorable with a 67 yard TD reception in a 13-7 victory over Memorial.  Jones goes on to catch touch down passes in three of the season's first four games.  Over the course of the season, the second team All-City selection would haul in at least six catches of 34 yards or longer.

Bryon Garland came off the bench against Bloomington South after nursing a sore ankle throughout the first half and scored two touch downs--including the game winner in over time.  Dan Mooney sealed the victory by picking off a Bloomington South pass on 3rd and goal in their over time opportunity.  Tom Searl likewise made his presence felt with four tackles for losses during the game.

In the season ending victory over Central, the Huskies got a boost from RB Mike Pitlick.  Having missed five games due to injuries, Pitlick finished off the Bears with two touchdowns in the 19-0 win.
