'SMOKIN' HUSKIES TAKE DOWN TITANS 61-47

The North Huskies Boys Basketball team came out "smokin'" in a 61-47 victory over Gibson Southern. North sank 6 of 9 threes in the first quarter to jump out to a 24-7 lead at the end of the first period. Sophomore guard Gavin Vignolo added to the onslaught by draining a trio of threes after entering the lineup to start the second period. Senior Bryson Chapman led all scorers with 21 points. Vignolo finished with 12, and point guard Greg Pieterek added 9 to go with 8 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Huskies are now 3 and 0 for the first time in 26 seasons as they head to Reitz for their first City game of the season.
