HUSKY RALLY FALLS SHORT IN FINAL SECOND OF 48-47 LOSS

After falling behind by as many as 12 points, the North Huskies rallied to tie the game at 47 in the semi-final of the Lebanon Holiday Tournament.  Junior Carson Cashmer's clutch three from well behind the line tied the game with just seconds remaining.  Lebanon inbounded the ball, dribbled up court, and missed a three point shot with 1.8 seconds to play.  North came down with the rebound but a questionable foul call was made 15 feet away from where the rebound took place.  The Tiger went to the free throw line, sank one of the free throws and Lebanon won 48-47.

With the Tigers playing a 'slow-down' type of basketball where they would hold the ball for minutes without shooting, North struggled with the pace of the game throughout.  The Huskies ended the third quarter with just 22 points and trailing by ten but took control of the game in the final stanza by sinking six three-point baskets--often banking in a shot after rebounding a missed three.  Junior Bryson Chapman led all scorers with 14 points (including eight in the crucial fourth-quarter) and junior Sena Gore contributed a pair of back-to-back threes down the stretch that enabled North to close the gap to just three points.
