HUSKIES CAN'T HOLD ON TO 4TH QUARTER LEAD IN 64-56 LOSS TO HARRISON
Battling against a 12-0 free throw disadvantage in the game's closing minutes, North fell to Harrison 64-56 Friday night at Harrison gymnasium. North had built a lead of 34-28 early in the third quarter and led 49-48 with just over four minutes to play, but the disparity in free throws proved to be their undoing down the stretch.
Playing a great defensive game throughout the competition, the Huskies contested every shot and held the vaunted Harrison perimeter game to just two of ten shooting from three point range. Deploying a four guard strategy, North lost the rebounding battle decisively but were able to offset the deficit by hitting nine three point shots in the game. Sophomore Justice Dixon led the Huskies in scoring with 16 points while fellow guard C.J. Hedgepeth had his best game of the season with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and a blocked shot.
