WEST LEADS WAY PAST VIKINGS

Hitting six of his first seven three point attempts, junior guard Robert West kicked off his third season as a starter for the Huskies with a hot shooting hand.  On the night, West would garner 20 points and lead the Huskies to a 57-50 win over a game North Posey ball club.  Despite leading by nine with a minute to play in the first half, North opened the door for the Vikings and let them back in the game in the third quarter.  It took a 4th quarter blitz of 70% shooting by the Huskies combined with nine free throws down the stretch to put North Posey away.

With sophomore guard CJ Hedgepeth hampered by foul trouble throughout the game, North evenly distributed the scoring load behind West.  Especially impressive was the work of senior Jesse Millikan and junior Dylan Mulherrin around the basket with a number of "put-back" scores when the game was in the balance.  Millikan led the team in rebounds with 8 while Mulherrin contributed all five of his points and most of his rebounds in the fourth quarter.
