Game Recap

BEARS MAUL HUSKIES 40-0

The Central Bears were an unstoppable force with an immovable defense in their 40-0 victory over the North Huskies.  There were very few highlights for the Huskies in the game as Central scored on three of their first eight plays from scrimmage.  By contrast, North's first six possessions netted a single first down and the sixth was capped off by Central returning the punt 60 yards for a touchdown.

A lopsided game with a disparity in line play that allowed the Bears to dominate the line of scrimmage throughout, North only ventured into Central's half of the field twice in the game.  Neither drive came within 40 yards of the goal line.  Even when the game was out of reach and Central substituted liberally, the Huskies played the entire fourth quarter of the game pinned inside their 20 yard line.

North faces Castle at home in the opening round of the 5A Sectional.
