HUSKIES TAKE DOWN PIONEERS 73-62 AND ADVANCE TO FINALS

The Hot Shooting continued for the North Huskies Boys Basketball team in the semi-finals of the Lebanon Holiday Classic yesterday as they won 73-62. The victory set up a Championship game against Gary 21st Century.  In the SemiFinal game against Mooresville, the Huskies shot 54% in the game and made 12 of 24 three point shots. Brayden Huebner led the Huskies with 18 points including four clutch free throws in the game's final two minutes as the Pioneers cut North's lead to 7 points. Huebner finished with 7 assists and four steals to go with his scoring.

Cayden Gelhausen scored 17 points to go with 9 rebounds and Bryson Chapman had an excellent all-round game with 15 points, 8 rebounds, six assists, a steal, a blocked shot, and a deflection and made five of his six shots from the field. Keamare Barnes put up 12 points in the effort and raised his season scoring average into double figures to go with sterling defensive play.
