HUSKIES 'GROW UP' WITH HARD FOUGHT 65-60 WIN ON ROAD AT NEW ALBANY
Playing their best game of the season, the North Huskies relied on six underclassmen for all their scoring as they wrestled a tough five point victory away from New Albany on the road at Romeo Langford Court. In a game that seldom saw either team ahead or behind by more than four points, the Huskies owned the second half boards and made ten of 17 shots from the field. When the game was on the line in the fourth quarter, North sank 13 of 15 free throws as New Albany resorted to fouling to get the ball back. Repeatedly the Huskies turned back Bulldog assaults by grabbing a rebound or sinking a pair of clutch free throws. Junior Brayden Huebner led all scorers with 20 points and fellow junior KeaMare Barnes added 15 to go with four rebounds and four assists. Junior Cayden Gelhausen pulled down a game high 11 rebounds and freshman Bryson Chapman stepped up with his second consecutive game scoring in double figures and pulling down six rebounds. The Huskies have now won three of their last four games and appear to be growing up as the team readies for the stretch run of the season.
