NORTH HOLDS OFF TIGERS 66-64

After building a 13 point lead late in the third period, the Huskies had to rely upon the power play of their 'bigs' to hold off a furious Memorial fourth quarter rally in North's 66-64 victory.  Senior Cameron Gelhausen enjoyed one of the finest games of his career as his trio of three point shots in the third quarter built what appeared to be an insurmountable lead.  He tallied 28 points and four rebounds in the game, but it was four fourth-quarter assists that 'shut the door' on the Tigers.  As the margin narrowed, Gelhausen found his younger brother Cayden open and the sophomore buried a three to push the lead back to 8 points.  Cameron then got a bucket of his own after Memorial cut the margin back to 5 a minute leader.  Twice in the next minute, the slashing senior spotted fellow 'big' man Mason Wicks open for lay up style baskets that sustained the lead.  It was Gelhausen's final two points at the free throw line with under a minute to play that finally gave North enough breathing room that the Huskies could withstand another three point basket by the Tigers.
