HUSKIES FINISH STRONG IN 63-44 WIN OVER VIKINGS
North broke open a close game early in the fourth quarter by stealing the ball and racing for quick lay up shots in a 63-44 win over North Posey. The Vikings hit their last seven shots of the third period to pull within a handful of points to start the final stanza. Husky senior Robert West and junior Justice Dixon then began an all out assault on North Posey ball handlers and converted four fast turnovers into easy baskets and lay ups on the other end. What had been a close game became a rout and North coasted to a 19 point win.
West led Husky scorers with 15 points and junior DeAte Stewart, the beneficiary of many of the turnovers with easy buckets underneath the basket, contributed 14--8 of which came in the fourth quarter.
