KNIGHTS CRUSH HUSKIES 70-55

In a game that was not as close as the score would indicate, the Castle Knights blew out the North Huskies Friday night at North's arena.  Using a system of back screens and drives to the basket, Castle pulled away in the second quarter and never looked back.  They scored their 70th point with over two minutes remaining and owning a 28 point lead.

Senior Jaylen Chambers led North scorers with 19 points.  North was out-rebounded by a tally of 38-25--but seven of North's rebounds came in the final two minutes of the game after Castle had pulled their starters.

In the JayVee game, the Huskies fared little better than the varsity.  After a close first half of play, the Knights front line overwhelmed North and allowed them to outscore the Huskies 14-5 in the 3rd quarter.  Castle won the game 44-35.  Guard Shaylin Harris and center Andrew Spalding led North in scoring with 10 points each. led North with 12 points in a 48-37 victory.  Sophomore Dylan Mulherrin added 11 and 6 rebounds and center Aaron Spalding chipped in 8 points to go with 9 rebounds.  Point guard Chase Whitler contributed four steals and four assists to go with his 7 points.  To view the JayVee Box Score CLICK HERE.
