HUSKIES RIDE 2ND HALF SURGE TO 60-45 WIN OVER NORTH POSEY

Breaking open a close game at half time, the North Huskies outscored the North Posey Vikings 35-22 after the break and coasted to a 60-45 win.  Senior guard Jaylen Chambers led all scorers with 20 points.  Sophomores Robert West and Austin Elmore were keys to the second half 'break away'.  West scored all eight of his points after intermission and had a spurt in three minutes of the third quarter in which he scored five points and contributed three assists and two steals.

Elmore was a force in the paint.  His early rebounding helped the Huskies to withstand a ten free-throw deficit to the home Vikings in the first half.  The big sophomore center then came through with 4 second half blocked shots and three steals to go along with 8 points after the break (he scored 14 in the game).  Senior Brock Underwood also contributed strong minutes off the bench with 8 points, 5 boards, and two blocked shots.

In the JayVee game, Shaylin Harris led North with 12 points in a 48-37 victory.  Sophomore Dylan Mulherrin added 11 and 6 rebounds and center Aaron Spalding chipped in 8 points to go with 9 rebounds.  Point guard Chase Whitler contributed four steals and four assists to go with his 7 points.  To view the JayVee Box Score CLICK HERE.
