VARSITY DEFENSE SHINES IN SCRIMMAGE WITH JASPER

Friday night's scrimmage with Jasper show cased an experienced and rugged defensive line for the 2010 edition of the Huskies.  The front four of Devin Rios, Jarrod Hawkins, Jacob Embry, and Damien Jackson rolled over the Wildcat offensive line and owned the line of scrimmage throughout the evening.  Linebackers Kyle Holland, Tyler May, and Mike Johnson contributed to a surge that held Jasper to just 15 yards rushing on 19 attempts.

For North's part, the offense started slowly but built up steam as the evening went along.  After a lackluster first 12 plays which failed to yield a single first down, the Huskies caught fire on their goal line possessions and scored three touchdowns in just eight plays--including two touchdown passes from quarterback Luke Blankenship to receiver Brock Hardin.
