The Annual intrasquad scrimmage was held at North's practice field Saturday and the club ran about 70 plays for the assembled crowd of family and friends. While most of the offense was run out of an I-formation, the team did show off its newly installed "Wildcat" formation (wherein the running back takes a direct snap from center) for one series.
Three different players shared time at quarterback with senior Luke Blankenship getting the 'lion's share' of the reps under center. Coach Wilson introduced the 2010 Captains during the pre-scrimmage talk. The 2010 Captains are lineman Damien Jackson, Richard Compton, Kyle Holland, and Luke Blankenship.
The 2010 Huskies play a scrimmage against the Jasper Wildcats on Friday night in Evansville at Central Stadium.
